J.D. Elliby is a drama writer currently living in Texas. He enjoys writing female-lead stories that center around fractured families striving to overcome heavy odds.
J.D. has been a Major League Baseball scout for over 25 years, traveling throughout Latin America and the U.S., and he’s most at home at a ballpark or airport picking up dialogue and characters from diverse groups. J.D. is an English major and has a master’s in sports management. He has trained with Pilar Alessandra and Jacob Krueger. His hour-long sports drama (The Kingmaker) landed as a Shore Scripts Top Ten Finalist, an Austin 2nd Rounder, and is currently in the top 1% of all dramas on Coverfly.
J.D. cherishes his time with family between scouting assignments.
